Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
- Arrival at Srinagar airport or railway station.
- Transfer to your accommodation in Srinagar.
- Rest and acclimatization.
- Optionally, local sightseeing in Srinagar (depending on arrival time).
Day 2: Srinagar to Baltal
- After breakfast, drive to Baltal, which is the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra.
- Check-in to tents/accommodation at Baltal.
- Free time for acclimatization and preparation for the trek.
- Overnight stay at Baltal.
Day 3: Amarnath Cave Darshan and Return
- Early morning start for the trek to the Amarnath Cave (about 6-7 hours trek, one way).
- Darshan (viewing) of the ice lingam inside the cave.
- After darshan, begin the trek back to Baltal.
- Overnight stay at Baltal.
Day 4: Departure
- After breakfast, depart from Baltal.
- Transfer back to Srinagar.
- Depending on your onward travel arrangements, you may have additional time for local sightseeing or shopping in Srinagar.
- Drop-off at the Srinagar airport or railway station for your onward journey.
